This seminar provides a basic legalistic understanding surrounding the use of practical self-defence techniques. 


Matt Law has been in Private, and Public, Security for nearly two decades working for nightclubs, private individuals and the government. Through a wide variety of operational experiences he has learned vital information that has proved invaluable in maintaining his, and others, safety. 


He now brings you an opportunity to expand your knowledge of de-escalation tactics, practical skill, and the Law in this hybrid Seminar which matches theoretical discussion with functional training. 


Become more confident in defending yourself, by learning how to defend your actions. 








Course Duration: Five Hours 


This might seem like a long time, however this is roughly broken down into a; 

- 10 to 15 minute Welcome/Ice Breaker, 

- 1hr 45min Discussion based learning around the theoretical frameworks, broken up with group activites, 

- 1hr Lunch break 

- 2hr Scenario based practical session 


Course Details:


Matt has written a presentation which covers topics such as; communication, de-escalation, and justification, among other topics; which take around an hour and forty-five minutes to deliver. This session is broken up with group actives developed to support learning through discussion and critical thinking.  


On conclusion of this participants will be taken into a two hour practical session where they will learn a few functional techniques before participating in scenario based situations to test and challenge their learning. Please bring water and wear appropriate gym like clothing for this part of the course. 


Classes can run with anywhere from two to thirty one, however twelve to sixteen participants is ideal for this seminar.
